Royal Caribbean's mega cruise ship Allure of the Seas is getting a seriously glamorous update in 2020 ahead of her return in May, and it's sure to be a hit with families.

Once the biggest cruise ship in the world, Allure of the Seas will undergo an epic $165million makeover (approximately £128million) which includes heaps of thrilling features.

We're talking a karaoke bar, glow-in-the-dark laser tag, a space-themed escape room, a rock wall, wave simulator FlowRider, a zipline and plenty of new dining offerings.

However, what's sure to be a hit with families is the water park on board that has everything from splash pools to thrilling racer slides.

In fact, those looking for an adrenaline rush will want to take on the Ultimate Abyss Slide which, at 10 storeys high, is the world's tallest slide at sea!

Have a bit of a competitive streak? Then challenge your family and head to the Perfect Storm slides, where you'll find two racer slides - Typhoon and Cyclone - sure to get the heart pumping.

Little ones who aren't quite ready to take on the daring rides can explore Splashaway Bay which offers splash pools, fountains, and drench buckets (not to mention mischievous kids are sure to love the water cannons).

Allure of the Seas will also boast an opulent Music Hall where you can find everything from live music and shows, to fun nights where you yourself can take to the dancefloor.

Oh, and sports fans haven't been forgotten; the Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade will show the biggest games on its huge TV screens, not to mention it will offer a wide array of bar snacks and drinks.
