Royal Caribbean made waves in the cruise industry this week as it revealed more details of its upcoming new ship, which will be the largest cruise ship in the world when she sets sail.

The cruise line revealed that its fifth Oasis Class ship will be called Wonder of the Seas, and will make her big debut in 2021 sailing from Shanghai, China.

Although the company is remaining fairly tight-lipped about what will be on offer, it has revealed that the ship will feature SEVEN neighbourhoods, complete with "thrilling experiences, imaginative dining, unparalleled entertainment and the latest technology".

Of course, previous Oasis Class ships such as Symphony of the Seas , Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas already boast some seriously impressive features.

We're talking epic waterparks, zip lines, bars with robot bartenders, huge pools, West End style theatre shows and everything from gourmet dining to casual eateries.

It could be that Wonder of the Seas offers something similar - and we can't wait to find out.

Construction has already kicked off at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, where the ship's keel laying ceremony took place.

In fact, Wonder's keel, a 970-tonne block measuring 155 feet by 65 feet, was lifted onto the building dock with a 1,400-tonne crane.

She will be the first of the Oasis Class ships to sail the Asia Pacific.

In fact, it already owns the majority of the world's biggest cruise ships , with Symphony of the Seas currently holding the top spot with a gross tonnage of 228,081, a length of 361m and a width of 65.7m.

The ship boasts 18 decks and can carry over 6,000 passengers, as well as a 2,200 person crew.
